Catermonkey, the revolutionary web application for caterers, is proud to announce the global launch of a system rooted in the visionary work of CTO Marten System. The story begins in 2012, just two years after I graduated as a Software Engineer from the University of Twente, when I came into contact with a caterer from Breda who was looking for automation for his business.
As a freelance programmer, I took the challenge and began this project. Soon the news reached Maty Van Geirt, who was looking for something similar at the time. Thus CateringSoftware was born, initially as a modest side project with a handful of affiliated caterers.
In 2018, Maty brought up the idea of selling CateringSoftware in Belgium, given the success and need for such a solution in the market. We decided to join forces, but not before giving CateringSoftware a complete makeover.
Although the concept and foundation were solid, we knew there was much to improve in terms of usability, marketing and branding. Catermonkey was launched in 2019 and after a flying start, followed by a challenging period during the Covid-19 pandemic, during which we were constantly developing, the system now stands, 4.5 years later, as a powerful player conquering the Benelux and ready for the rest of the world.
Catermonkey is more than just a software application; it is the result of an ongoing commitment to innovation, collaboration and overcoming challenges. In recent years, we have developed Catermonkey into a system that not only transforms the catering industry, but also sets the standard for ease of use, marketing and branding.
