From Teamleader and Word to one system: how Cookaholics gets quotes out the door faster

Cookaholics is a full-service event caterer based in Waalwijk. From a business dinner for 20 to a large-scale event for 2,000 guests, the team handles concept, kitchen, service and styling. With 25 regular staff and a pool of more than 100 freelancers, they work on events for all kinds of clients. Nomi is a project manager and uses Catermonkey every day.

From scattered to central

Before Cookaholics worked with Catermonkey, everything ran through Teamleader and Word. Separate documents, everything tracked apart. Nomi: "Everything had to be filled in by hand. That just takes a lot of time."

Creating items, straight through to the quote

The feature Nomi uses most: creating items for quotes. "It's much more efficient now. We save about two to three hours a week." The work that follows, working out pack lists and finishing work sheets, goes noticeably faster. "You just spend less time getting everything finished."

Without Catermonkey: back to manual

What would change if Catermonkey disappeared tomorrow? "Then we'd go back to the old way, where everything has to be filled in by hand." Not an appealing prospect for a team running several big events at once.

Knowing exactly what you need

Nomi's advice to caterers who are on the fence: "Work out first exactly what you want from the program. Some features aren't there, and then you're stuck with a fully set up system." Honest and practical. For Cookaholics it works, as long as you know what you're looking for.
