Meal service

Nurse bringing a meal to a patient

Order weekly, deliver daily, invoice per period. Meal service is about rhythm and precision: rotating weekly menus, large volumes and strict dietary needs, where one small mistake has big consequences. Catermonkey handles the ordering, kitchen planning, labels, routes and invoicing in one system.

Not everything is a one-off event. You deliver lunch to the care home every day, run the company canteen Monday to Friday, or bring round school meals. The menu changes by the day, orders come in by the week, and the invoice goes out at the end of the period. That is exactly the rhythm Catermonkey's meal service is built for.

How it works

1. Build your weekly menu

You set up weekly menus with the right offer ready for each day: fixed dishes, daily rotating choices and extras like snacks. Set it up once and the rhythm runs on its own.

2. The customer chooses

The customer (an employee, resident or patient) submits their choice per week or per day through the online shop. For anyone who does not order online, the system generates paper choice lists. Changes are allowed up to the deadline you set, for example 48 hours before delivery. After that the order locks, so your kitchen can plan with certainty.

3. Choices are processed automatically

All orders are bundled and checked. Dietary needs, allergens and preferences carry through automatically, with no manual corrections.

4. Kitchen planning and production

The system turns every choice into exact production lists and portioning schedules. You see precisely how much to prepare, per dish and per diet. Your purchasing is calculated automatically too, down to the ingredient.

5. Packing and labelling

For every meal the right label rolls out of the printer automatically, with name, dish, diet and allergens. That prevents mix-ups and keeps you error-free, even at high volumes.

6. Logistics and delivery

You get a clear route plan and loading list for the drivers. You know exactly which meals go out, in what order and to which addresses.

7. Invoicing and settlement

Invoices are prepared automatically. Whether you work with collective invoices, split payments between client and institution, or fixed arrangements per organisation, the financial side matches the way you work. One pdf, one payment per period, instead of dozens of separate invoices.

8. Overview and control

You keep continuous insight into quantities, costs, planning and errors. The error rate drops, the admin largely disappears, and you get time back for the kitchen and your organisation.
