Joop, the owner of Uw Chef, has twice as much time for his wife and dog

Joop runs restaurant Uw Chef in Tricht. The à la carte menu has Mediterranean and Eastern dishes, from spare ribs to seasonal plates. The restaurant also caters.

“For the past forty years I thought: this is just how it's done. Until two years ago, when I got in touch with Maty from Catermonkey. He told me my whole way of working was about to change completely. I have to be honest: I didn't believe it at first. But I know better now.”

That's when we realised how many opportunities we'd been missing for years. We did everything in Word, Excel and sometimes on a beer mat, and that felt completely normal to us.”

Since then, things have calmed down. “My stress has shifted. It used to go into quotes, invoices left unpaid, enquiries we forgot about. Now that stress is gone. The only stress I still have? That Catermonkey can do a lot more than I currently use. I want to get everything out of it. Faster, smarter, better.”
