Connect your own AI assistant to Catermonkey
Already using Claude, ChatGPT or Grok? Plug it into your Catermonkey account and ask it about your orders, your quotes and your kitchen, in plain language.
Catermonkey has a connector built on MCP, an open standard that lets an AI assistant work with your own data instead of giving generic answers. Nothing to install. You add the connector once, and from then on your assistant knows your business.
In short
- Works with any AI assistant that supports connectors: Claude, ChatGPT and Grok all do
- Nothing to install; you add the connector once per business
- Ask about orders, customers, quotes and invoices in plain language
- Have it draft a quote or invoice, or put together a preparation or shopping list
- See and revoke the connection any time under Settings, Apps
What this is
Chances are someone in your business already uses an AI assistant for emails and the odd question. On its own, it knows nothing about your orders, your products or your prices. Connect it to Catermonkey and it does. Ask it which orders are coming up next week and it reads your calendar. Ask it to draft an invoice for last Friday's order and it works from the real order, with the real lines and prices.
Setting it up
Open the connector settings in your assistant (Claude, ChatGPT and Grok each have one; in ChatGPT it depends on your subscription, and a workspace admin may have to allow it first) and add a custom connector with this address:
https://app.catermonkey.com/mcp
Your assistant then opens Catermonkey in your browser. Log in if asked, check which business the connection gets access to, and allow it. Back in your assistant, Catermonkey appears in the list of connectors. Start a new conversation and ask away. This is a one-off per business. The step-by-step guide is in our help centre.
What you can ask
- Which orders do we have next week, and for how many people?
- Make a preparation list for Saturday.
- Draft an invoice for last Friday's order.
- Add these ingredients to the walking dinner product.
Your data stays yours
The connection only reaches the business you allowed, and only while you keep it. You can see every connected assistant, and remove one, under Settings, Apps, Connected apps.
